Military Spouses: NMFA Scholarships are for You!
The National Military Family Association is now accepting applications for the NMFA Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship Program. Any uniformed service spouse—active, retired, National Guard, Reserve or survivor—studying toward professional certification or attending post-secondary or graduate school is encouraged to apply. Scholarships are normally in the amount of $1,000, and the number awarded each year varies depending on funding. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and school room and board.
Scholarship selection is based on completion of some survey questions that will help NMFA advocate for education changes on your behalf, short-answer questions, and an essay question. Applications will only be accepted online and must be submitted by midnight March 15, 2007.

MOAA Scholarship Program
The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is offering the Base/Post Scholarships once again this year. The MOAA program provides grants of $1000 each to twenty-five dependent children of our United States Uniformed Services. Scholarship winners will be randomly selected from among applicants, with representation given to each of the uniformed services. Applications can only be made online. Go to MOAA’s website: http://www.moaa.org. Choose “Services” on the website’s opening page, and then select “Educational Aid” to view all the MOAA scholarship information, instructions, and multi-program application. Deadline for on-line entry is noon EST March 1, 2007.

The Reserve Officers' Association (ROA) represents members of the seven United States Uniformed Services. The men and women who serve our Nation in the cause of freedom need and deserve a voice in creating government policy. ROA provides that voice. Respected, vigorous, effective—ROA has a long list of policy accomplishments, and an ambitious long-range program for the coming decade and beyond.
National Association for Uniformed Services
The National Association for Uniformed Services (NAUS) is the Service Member's voice in government and the only national military affiliated association that represents the entire military/verteran family. Focusing on people since 1968, no other association provides such broad representation in Congress, the White House and the Pentagon.
The primary purpose of NAUS is to: Support a strong National Defense; and to promote and protect the interests and promised benefits earned by members of the uniformed services for themselves, their families and survivors and those of all American citizens with common interests.
NAUS is a Non-Profit Organization chartered under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(19), veterans organizations, allowing for extensive non-partisan representation and lobbying activities to ensure that the concerns of our members are heard.

Uniformed Services Family Health Plan
US Family Health Plan is the only TRICARE Prime program that offers benefits to active duty family members and all military retirees and their eligible family members, including those 65 years of age and over, regardless of whether or not they participate in Medicare Part B. So no matter what their age, members can stay healthy with US Family Health Plan.

TRICARE Prime
Prime is TRICARE's managed-care option, similar to a civilian HMO (health maintenance organization). Prime is for active duty service members. Active duty service members (ADSM) are required to be enrolled in Prime.
TRICARE Dental Program
TDP is a high-quality, cost-effective dental care benefit for eligible family members of all active duty uniformed services personnel; as well members of the Selected Reserve and Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) and their eligible family members. United Concordia Companies, Inc. administers the TDP.
